Signs of Skin Cancer are described below.  Many have benefited from herbal therapies including essiac, ellagic acid, Protandim, and graviola, and electromedicine offers Rife, Beck, and Lakhovsky technologies. It may work for you. Cancer is caused by a diet that is too acidic; this turns symbiotic organisms into parasites.  The danger is avoided by maintaining an alkaline diet; it really is as simple as that.

Skin cancer, the most common form of cancer in the United States, is an uncontrolled growth of the cells of the skin. More than 90% of skin cancer occurs on skin that has been exposed to sunlight or other ultraviolet radiation; it is more common in people with light skin, hair, and eyes. Skin growths such as warts, moles, or corns are not cancer, and are seldom a serious problem.

Skin cancer is classified by the layer of the skin involved. The outer layer of skin, the epidermis, is composed of Basal cells in the lowest layer, Squamous cells in the middle layer, and Melanocytes (pigment producing cells). Sometimes cancer is divided into melanoma and non-melanoma cancer; the latter includes Basal cell and Squamous cell carcinoma.

Signs of Skin Cancer
Skin cancer seldom causes pain. Some signs may be common with other diseases that are not cancer. Signs include:

• Sores that bleed or ooze and do not heal.

• Skin ulcers

• Changes in existing moles

• Discoloring on parts of the skin

• A firm red lump

• A spot that becomes itchy, tender, painful, red, or swollen

Basal cell carcinoma is the most common form of malignant cancer that accounts for about 75% of skin cancers. The cancer eats the surrounding tissue giving it the appearance of being gnawed, thus it is also known as the rodent ulcer. It affects small areas, grows slowly, usually stays in a local area, and rarely spreads to other areas of the body, but it can grow to 1 or 2 cm in diameter after several years of growth, and it may invade nearby nerves, bone, and brain. Signs include a skin lesion, lump, or bump, which may have a pearly or waxy appearance, may be white or light pink, may be flesh colored or brown, and may be flat or slightly raised. There may be a scarlike lesion, and blood vessels may be visible on the lesion or surrounding skin.  There may be a sore that will not heal.  Basal cell carcinoma usually occurs in people over the age of 40.

Squamous cell carcinoma affects the middle layer of the skin, and is malignant. While more aggressive than basil cell cancer, it still may grow rather slowly. It is more likely than basal cell cancer to spread (metastasize) to other areas.  It is usually painless initially, but an ulcer that does not heal may become painful.  Symptoms include a lesion, growth or bump that is reddened, small, firm, may be flat, may be cone shaped. The surface may be scaly or crusted. It usually appears on the neck, face, ears, arms, and hands, but may appear on the tongue, mouth, lip, genitals, or other areas. Squamous cell tumors usually occur in people over the age of 50.

Melanoma is a dangerous but less common form of cancer that spreads to other tissues or organs.  It resembles moles, but there are differences.  A skin lesion is usually of irregular shape, and the outline is ragged rather than smoothly defined; one half may be different from the other half. The lesion is usually more than about 6mm across, or has increased in size recently. The lesion is raised above the surface of skin. The color may vary from one area to another, usually with shades of brown to black, but red, blue, white, or tan are possible.

Today's doctors cannot explain what causes cancer, and what they call prevention is in reality just early detection. It might be prudent to learn what causes cancer, and then take the steps to avoid it. If you have cancer, a natural approach that doesn't involve the cut and burn of surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation, may be the preferred first step because is does no harm and many have been cured.

Protandim has been shown to be effective against skin cancer.
